1. Black Rock Sands

Black Rock Sands is a wide, expansive beach with fine, golden sand and several dunes. It’s just a short walk away from Glan Morfa Mawr, but you can also take the car and drive onto the beach itself. There are plenty of rock pools and caverns to explore, and the beach has beautiful views of the mountains of Snowdonia. Those looking for a little more excitement can try out some of the many water sports on offer or you can take your own Jet Ski to the beach for some adventure!.

2. Wales Costal Path

Our large caravan park in Morfa Bychan is the perfect location to explore the stunning Welsh Coastline. Start your journey at Glan Morfa Mawr and wander along the stretches of coast down to the majestic expanse of Cardigan Bay. Take in the breathtaking views along the way and catch glimpses of dolphins, seals, porpoises and marine birds. En route, heading south you could visit the Italian village of Portmeirion and explore the coast towards Harlech. Heading North, you will find yourself exploring the Llyn Penisula, an area designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. When you reach the end of your journey, you can benefit from the excellent transport links to bring you back.

3. Porthmadog Golf Club

An exciting 18 hole golf club in the village of Morfa Bychan. Porthmadog Golf Club is a hybrid mix of parkland and links holes, described by the locals as friendly, but challenging. This world class golf club in Porthmadog offers 2 practice grounds, a practice net and a putting green on site to help you prepare for your round. Buggies, electric trolleys and pull trolleys are available to hire from the pro shop, and you’re welcome to enjoy all areas of the clubhouse when your game is over.

4. Portmeirion

Just a 15 minute drive will take you to the enchanting village of Portmeirion. This multi-award winning tourist attraction is inspired by the coloured facades of Portofino in Italy. You’ll be fascinated by the dream-like, pastel-coloured buildings, piazzas, ornamental gardens and carved fountains. Portmeirion offers more than just beautiful architecture, however. The ticketed site features two luxury hotels, an indulgent spa, quaint gift shops, restaurants, cafes and an authentic gelateria that offers an authentic taste of Italy in Wales.

5. Ffestiniog and Welsh Mountain Railway

Take a trip into the past with an unforgettable ride on a steam locomotive. Porthmadog is home to two heritage steam railways, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. Why not ride the full length of Ffestiniog Railway, with a stop in the historical town of Blaenau Ffestiniog? Or you can take a woodland journey through the heart of Eryri National Park, stopping for a walk in nature and refreshments at Tan-y-Bwlch tea rooms. Your whole family will be enchanted by the journey, and you can even bring your dog along for the trip.
