Getting Here.

Once you arrive at the town of Porthmadog, follow the signs for Morfa Bychan and Black Rock Sands (On the Junction with The Original Factory Shop). As you arrive in the village of Morfa Bychan, continue through the village for approximately 1 mile, towards Black Rock Sands. As the road narrows to a single lane, you will find us on the right, signposted Glan Morfa Mawr Caravan Park.

Arriving from The North (via A487)

When travelling south on the A487 towards Porthmadog, once past the Allt Wen Hospital (on your left) you will come to a roundabout. Please proceed on the second exit towards Porthmadog. Do not take the third exit towards Pwllheli. (This will lead you down a narrow road unsitable for caravas as highlighted in the next section.). Continue to the next roundabout and take the third exit towards Porthmadog town center and follow the instructions as above.

Arriving from The West (via A497)

If you are travelling to us on the A497 Eastbound (from Criccieth towards Porthmadog) and are instructed to turn down a narrow lane adjacent to the Railway bridge, Do not go down this road. This Road is NOT sutiable for carvans!

Alternatively, please follow the A497 Eastbound towards Porthmadog. At the next roundabout take the Second Exit exit and contiue to follow the road into Porthmadog. You will arrive at a roundabout in the center of Porthmadog, take the third exit and follow the road ~200 Meters (~700 Feet), and continue to follow the instructions noted previously.


Getting Around The Area

Travelling By Train

Transport for Wales services are operated on the Cambrian Coast Line on a regular basis. The nearest station is Porthmadog, with services going westwards towards Pwllehli, and east towards Harlech, Barmouth and Further afield.

Travelling By Bus

Sherpa'r Wyddfa (Gwynfor Coaches) services operate regularly during the summer with a bus stop a few yards from the site entrance. The S4 Service goes to Pen y Pass via Porthmadog, where you can catch other services to destinations further afield across North Wales. The Sherpa'r Wyddfa service will take you to the heart of the Eryri National Park for some adventuring!
